Sculptor's Attitude

SCULPTOR'S ATTITUDE -Author Unknown

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Have a GREAT DAY! Unless you have other plans.

Be Happy. God Bless.

Two Things Stand Like Stone

Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone,
Kindness in another's trouble,
Courage in your own.
~Adam Lindsay Gordon

A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble. ~Charles H. Spurgeon

Achievement

Achievement - Robert Louis Stevenson

That man is a success who has lived well,
Laughed often and loved much;
Who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children;
Who has filled his nice and accomplished his task;
Who leaves the world better than he found it,
Whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul,
Who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it;
Who looked for he best in others and gave the best he had.

Sometimes only few words of motivation does not do it all you need some real life example to believe in those words.Meet Lara and you will know how to achieve.She has made every word of this poem true.I met her while surfing net and  thought yes this is something I want to share with my friends and readers. Yes You Can

" Successful people don't relax in chairs ... they feel relaxed with their work. They sleep with dreams and wake up with a commitment."

Author Unknown -

" To be brave you must see the danger and feel the fear; only then will you know what must be done to be brave."

Author Unknown -

" Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way."

Write Your Own Destiny

"You must have control of the authorship of your own destiny. The pen that writes your life story must be held in your own hand." - Irene C. Kassorla

The Power Within!

Never forget the quantum physics behind it all.
Do not live in the Darkness of the past,
Or let fear stop you from creating your own destiny.
You have the knowledge to liberate yourself from those fears,
And the Light of your brilliance can shine once again.
So take responsibility for your own happiness,
And be the author of your own destiny.
There is no choice between Darkness & Light,
Darkness is but the absence of Light.
And how boring would the nothingness of Darkness be,
Compared to the Light of Creation,
In a Universe of infinite possibilities?
You have the Power, now use it!
(Inspired by "Our Deepest Fear", written by Marianne Williamson and spoken by Nelson Mandela in 1994, during his Presidential Inauguration)
