The Simple Things

The Simple Things - Edgar A. Guest

I would not be too wise-so very wise
That I must sneer at simple songs and creeds,
And let the glare of wisdom blind my eyes
To humble people and their humble needs.
I would not care to climb so high that I
Could never hear the children at their play,
Could only see the people passing by,
And never hear the cheering words they say.
I would not know too much-too much to smile
At trivial errors of the heart and hand,
Nor be too proud to play the friend the while
Nor cease to help and know and understand.
I would not care to sit upon a throne,
Or build my house upon a mountain-top,
Where I must dwell in glory all alone
And never friend come in or poor man stop.
God grant that I may live upon this earth
And face the tasks which every morning brings
And never lose the glory and the worth
Of humble service and the simple things.

Voices And Choices

Voices And Choices-Ron Atchison

It happens to me too,
the voices and choices
are too much at times
and I need a quiet place
just me and the moon
or me and the sky
a place where I can hear God whisper
reminding me to breathe
asking me to 'hold on'
and when I hear this
I know everything will be O.K.

Always Believe

This world belong to those who have faith in Almighty and belief in themselves. This two strong pillars can shake every challenges of your life and built the path of success . Faith makes everything possible. You block your dreams when you let your fear overpower your faith. So have faith and believe the power and ability your are blessed with. Few lines below will help you build that faith in yourself. Have a look-

Always Believe- Author Unknown
You have the ability
to attain whatever you seek;
within you is every potential
you can imagine.
Always aim higher than
you believe you can reach.
So often, you'll discover
that when your talents
are set free
by your imagination,
you can achieve any goal.
If people offer their
help or wisdom
as you go through life,
accept it gratefully.
You can learn much from those
who have gone before you.
But never be afraid or hesitant
to step off the accepted path
and head off in your own direction
if your heart tells you
that it's the right way for you.
Always believe that you will
ultimately succeed
at whatever you do,
and never forget the value
of persistence, discipline,
and determination.
You are meant to be
whatever you dream
of becoming.

Be Happy. God Bless.

The Touch Of The Master's Hand

There is an old saying that when I was not touched by you Master, then there was no one to buy me but when you touched me you make me priceless. Yes that's what a real Master always do. In this poem below the poet has decorated this thought with lovely words. I hope you will love to read this!

The Touch Of The Master's Hand - Myra Brooks Welch

 It was battered and scarred,
And the auctioneer thought it
hardly worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
but he held it up with a smile.

What am I bid, good people", he cried,
"Who starts the bidding for me?"
"One dollar, one dollar, Do I hear two?"
"Two dollars, who makes it three?"
"Three dollars once, three dollars twice, going for three,"

But, No, From the room far back a gray bearded man came forward and picked up the bow, Then wiping the dust from the old violin and tightening up the strings,
He played a melody, pure and sweet
As sweet as the angel sings.

The music ceased and the auctioneer
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said "What now am I bid for this old violin?" As he held it aloft with its' bow.

One thousand, one thousand, Do I hear two?" "Two thousand, Who makes it three?" "Three thousand once, three thousand twice, Going and gone", said he.

The audience cheered, But some of them cried, "We just don't understand."
"What changed its' worth?" Swift came the reply. "The Touch of the Masters Hand."

And many a man with life out of tune
All battered and scarred with sin
Is auctioned cheap to a thankless world
Much like that old violin.

A mess of pottage, a glass of wine,
A game and he travels on.
He is going once, he is going twice,
He is going and almost gone.

But the Master comes,
And the foolish crowd never can quite understand,
The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought
By the Touch of the Masters' Hand.

Happy Independence Day

India tomorrow will celebrate another year of freedom. On this happy occasion I wish A Very Happy Independence Day to all my Indian friends everywhere in the world.
To get this day our grand parents and great grand parents sacrificed a lot and then we are gifted with this precious gift of Independence.Still India lacks in many areas so it's high time we stop blaming the Goverment or each other and rethink what Gandhi Bapu said to us-
“Be the change you want to see in the world.”-
I wish that I would leave my last breath in a more better India than where I was born and it is my duty to make it so, so is the duty of every Indian to make it a best place to live , love and flourish.
Receive My Best Wishes

Whole World Belongs To You

"Fame or integrity: which is more important? Money or happiness: which is more valuable? Success or failure: which is more destructive? If you look to others for fulfillment, you will never truly be fulfilled. If your happiness depends on money, you will never be happy with yourself. Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you."

~ Lao-tzu quotes from Tao Te Ching

Success

Success - Author Unknown

Success is speaking words of praise,
In cheering other people's ways,
In doing just the best you can,
With every task and every plan,
It's silence when your speech would hurt,
Politeness when your neighbor's curt,
It's deafness when the scandal flows,
And sympathy with other's woes,
It's loyalty when duty calls,
It's courage when disaster falls,
It's patience when the hours are long,
It's found in laughter and in song,
It's in the silent time of prayer,
In happiness and in despair,
In all of life and nothing less,
We find the thing we call success.

Can We Still Be Friends

Friends are most precious gifts that God could ever blessed us with. The love that a freinds share are most purest one. It has nothing to do with physical attachment only souls are touched and nutured. This poem below will motivate you to be a real true friend.

Can We Still Be Friends?- Kathleen Sheppard

 I was cold and hurting
lost out in the night
wandering and searching
for heaven's light

I saw the night sky clearing
when you spread your rainbow wings
But little did I know
what joy you would bring

From that moment on
a friendship did start
you kissed away my tears
and sheltered my heart

I bless the day God
sent him from above
But then I grew fearful
for I had fallen in love

I told you this feeling
and what did you say?
You said you liked our friendship
and that's how it would stay

I cried for a friendship I thought I lost
But then felt your warm, gentle hand
You then whispered in my ear
that by my side you'll forever stand
